Feature Details

DAC Employment History and MVR Reports are Transmitted Directly into RapidHire

RapidHire has it’s own interface to DAC Services, which brings the DAC reports directly and immediately to the Recruiter’s computer screen. By simply pressing a function key, the Driver identification already entered into RapidHire is transmitted to DAC, and the DAC report(s) is displayed to the Recruiter while the Driver is on the phone. If the DAC information looks positive, the Recruiter can work hard to get a commitment from the Driver during the first phone call knowing the effort is well spent. On the other hand, if the DAC reports indicate that the Driver would not be suitable, then the Recruiter can shorten the phone call and proceed to the next Driver. This Feature immediately increases Recruiter Performance (and really impresses drivers who call in.)  Please note that this process makes DAC Services available to each one of your recruiters no matter where they are when they are signed on to the system.  Also, once a report is transmitted from DAC, the reports stay attached to the Driver’s record and can be displayed or printed at any time.  Back to Top

Any Recruiter at any Location can Access any Driver’s records

RapidHire maintains all driver records on one central database.  These records are available to any authorized person who signs on to the system, whether it be on site, at scattered offices, at home, or in a hotel room. Any Recruiter can bring up any applicant’s status. When a Driver calls in, they get an answer right away because the information about them is at every Recruiter’s fingertips. If the Driver has information you have been waiting for, it can be immediately updated by whomever takes the call. Back to Top

Pull-down Menus Reduce Data Entry Time and Errors

Almost all data entry may be selected from Pull-Down windows. This saves time and ensures that consistent data is entered for reporting and classification. No programming is required to create specific Pull-Down windows for your company and they may be created right while RapidHire is in use.

  Also in our latest release, a Recruiter can enter just a short abbreviation of the first few letters of a field which has a Pull-Down menu and the entire code or description for the field will be automatically entered and displayed without any further key strokes or selection. This is another one of our features which speeds up data entry while the Driver is on the phone.  Back to Top

Data Entry Accuracy is Assured

RapidHire Decision Tables can enforce context sensitive data rules. For example, more data is normally required for an experienced Driver than a Student. Your company can set these entry requirements and the level of enforcement. Decision Table features include highlighting of required fields, display of error messages, and automatic entry of status codes as the Driver progresses toward hiring or rejection.

Drivers are Automatically Classified

Drivers are automatically classified in categories according to data that you require to be entered in the Driver record. You may define as many categories as you want and a list of drivers in any category may be instantly displayed (or printed, or loaded into EXCEL). A Driver’s records may be displayed by selecting from any category in which the Driver is included. Drivers won't "fall through the cracks" with RapidHire. This well organized system makes a very good impression on Candidate Drivers from the minute they start working with your Recruiters and keeps them from going to another company due to delays in processing and lack of follow-up.  Back to Top

Working in RapidHire, one of our very successful customers, a top 40 U.S. truckload carrier,  has recently defined several new real time Browse Categories of Drivers.  This allows Recruiting Managers to take advantage of this exclusive feature of RapidHire, providing up-to-the-minute information to Managers without having to wait for paper reports:

  • TWO HOUR CALL BACK
    -
    DRIVERS WHO APPLIED TODAY TO BE CALLED BACK IN TWO HOURS
    This browse category allows the company to keep their commitment to call drivers back in two hours after they have applied by phone. Both management and recruiters use this browse category to make sure they are performing as advertised to the Drivers.
     

  • TODAY'S APS SO FAR
    - DRIVERS WHO APPLIED SO FAR TODAY ORGANIZED BY RECRUITER
    This browse category allows mamagement to follow the progress of today's applications up to the minute. It also is used by Recruiters to pace themselves to ensure they are acheiving their goals for today. It is a great tool also for immediately seeing the results of a new ad campaign and also to see how many aps are being taken at a trade show.
     

  • YESTERDAY'S APS
    - DRIVERS WHO APPLIED YESTERDAY ORGANIZED BY RECRUITER
    Anyone can immediately see how many aps were received yesterday without waiting for a printed report.

While the full information about any driver can still be immediately displayed by selecting the driver from the browse category,  these real time Browse Categories also provide an unprecedented management tool that allows a Manager to see who is doing what, how well and at what pace.   In addition, they allow each Recruiter and Processor to see exactly the same data about themselves that their manager sees. Thus the outstanding performers know that their contribution is seen and recognized; and other staff members are motivated, knowing that the results of their efforts are seen.

  Here are a few more real-time, up-to-the-minute categories set up by customers themselves using the browse category definition feature of RapidHire:

Driver Training and Development.

Once drivers are assigned to a trainer, the trainer's evaluation may be entered into RapidHire on a weekly basis which ensures that all training requirements are achieved before the Driver is assigned their own truck. Once a Driver is in their own assigned truck, their development progress and performance may be entered on a weekly basis by their Fleet Manager or Loads Supervisor. Back to Top

Driver Retention Management.

This module will allow Fleet Managers and Load Supervisors to collect data regularly from current drivers to get their perspective on how your Fleet Operation is doing in terms of Maintenance, Layovers, Miles, Home Time, Dock Load/Unload Times, Dock Driver Facilities, and Equipment. This will provide reports which will let you track fleet-wide trends that adversely affect Driver Retention and give you a chance to address these issues systematically. Of course, many factors which affect driver retention are factors that affect Operating ratios. These reports will provide another handle on these issues. Back to Top

Drivers who Resigned on Good Terms can be Actively Recruited

RapidHire provides a procedure to load Driver Records from Operations files into RapidHire and to update termination information for Drivers already in RapidHire. Your Recruiters can immediately see if a previously employed Driver is eligible for rehire. Drivers eligible for rehire can be systematically contacted using RapidHire. Back to Top

Internet Applications are Transferred Directly into RapidHire.

RapidHire enables a Driver to enter an Internet Application directly into RapidHire. Internet applications can be pre-classified before Recruiters spend any time on them according to years of experience, geographic location, equipment operated, driving school and any other important criteria. Automation of Processing using Decision Tables

RapidHire Decision Tables automatically screen phone and internet applications based upon requirements such as years of experience, driver being of minimum age, number of accidents and so forth. This technology was developed specifically for RapidHire. There is nothing else like it in the Software Industry today.   Decision Table modifications take effect immediately without changing RapidHire programs. This is powerful, leading-edge technology.
